Consumers in North America now subscribe to an average of seven streaming services, up from five a year ago, according to TiVo’s latest Video Trends report. As a result, their average monthly spend has climbed to $169.12, up from $140.06 in Q2 2024. Bundles are what’s driving the rebound — repackaging multiple streaming subscriptions into something that feels convenient and worth the price tag.
The report also found that cord-cutting is accelerating, with nearly a quarter of viewers planning to ditch linear TV in the coming months. And while traditional television loses ground, Connected TV is stepping into the spotlight. This fragmentation might make it harder to pin down a single go-to service, but it also opens up smarter advertising opportunities. Marketers who shift focus from individual platforms to contextual and audience-based targeting will be better positioned to meet viewers where they are.
